After the first tryout at SDN 200 Leuwipanjang, Kummara and HIVOS held Gastronot.ID program at SDN 033 Asmi, Bandung. The program invited different gastronomy community to collaborate, such as House The House and Komunitas 1000 Kebun as well as public health expert team from Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Bandung (UNISBA) to increase the awareness and understanding of balance nutrition.
Through Gastronot.ID program, Kummara and HIVOS introduced a new inclusive gastronomy concept: Main, Metik, Masak (Play, Pick, Process). For half day, participants will play as an introduction to food and nutrition, then they will plant and pick their own vegetable and then they will process the vegetable into a delicious yet healthy dish.
The second Gastronot.ID program at SDN 033 Asmi, Bandung attended by 48 elementary students. As a part of Main (Play) concept, Kummara team bring Gastronot board game, where players become astronaut that explore various planets to discover and collect food that balance in nutrition. The students were excited in playing the game and motivated to try different food that are delicious and have different nutrition composition. They also learn that unbalance nutrition intakes can lead to symptoms that represents several diseases.
