As a part of BIDADARI (Bincara Depresi Dari Dini) event from Public Health and Community Medicine class of Faculty of Medicine on 22 November 2019, Kummara was invited to introduce Carpe Diem board game to freshman year of UNISBA Faculty of Medicine.
“Carpe Diem” is a board game developed by Kummara and Faculty of Medicine Bandung Islamic University (UNISBA) team also supported by Institute of Mental Health Singapore, aiming to raise youth awareness about mental health and depression. Divided into 2 groups, students were challenged to overcome the day for 7 rounds. If one of them cannot survive the day, they will get another depression card, which will make their days even harder in the future. They also can seek help from professional and experts to consult to ease the day.
From the play session, students understand more about the symptom of depression, mental health state and the importance of asking help from friends and professional if needed.
